Four small children and two adults were injured Thursday morning when a knife-wielding man attacked them in a playground in a park in the French Alpine town of Annecy, officials said. French Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne, visiting the town later Thursday, confirmed reports that the suspect was a Syrian man who had applied for refugee status in France.  - Public prosecutor Linne Bonnett said there did not "seem to be any kind of terrorist motivation" for the brazen attack on the children as they played at the local beauty spot. - French police said later confirmed that six people were wounded in the attack, including four children. Ambulances ferried the victims to a nearby hospital and local newspaper Le Dauphiné libéré said earlier that at least three of the children were in critical condition.
