A man was shot to death by a suspected hitman in the Chao district. The victim died instantly. The murder occurred in front of the Central Market of Chao. A man identified as Juan Carlos Benítez Huaranga, was shot to the head by the alleged hitman at the intersection of Bolívar passage and La Rivera avenue, in the Chao district. According to witnesses, the criminals arrived aboard a motorcycle, one of them came off and pretended to be on his phone before walking behind his target and shooting him in the back of the head, killing him instantly. Police officers rushed to the scene and cordoned off the area. According to some information, apparently this attack would be due to a settling of accounts. The victim would have a police record. The murder occurred in the afternoon in front of the busy Chao Central Market.
