Rustenburg police cordoned off a section of Kock Street on Wednesday after a man was brazenly assassinated, a gory spectacle that was captured on video.

CCTV video showed the harrowing moment an unidentified male was killed in cold blood by two armed men.

The incident took place on Wednesday, 23 August 2023. The footage, taken from the entrance security cameras of a cafe situated next to the PSG Wealth offices on Kock Street, showed a man standing outside the establishment, completely distracted by his phone.

A woman, who may prove to be a key eyewitness, was about to take a seat at one of the tables nearest to the entrance when, suddenly, her peaceful morning was disturbed by the raucous sounds of gunfire.

Right when the woman was taking a seat, two men crept up on the unsuspecting male victim and delivered deathly gunshots to his head, killing him instantly.

To mark the brutality of the assassination, the gunmen emptied their cartridges on the male victim before fleeing on foot.
