Unofficial sources from the San José University Hospital in Popayán confirmed the death of Deiby Fernando Vallejo Sánchez, who was the victim of a hitman attack in a cell phone store in the historic center of the city.

According to preliminary information, although Vallejo Sánchez underwent surgery by the doctors at this healthcare center, he died due to the severity of his injuries.

The judicial authorities issued a statement, in which they point out that the person responsible for this homicide is a minor, who was transferred to a care center because he was beaten by the community that managed to capture him.
