A truck loaded with gas cylinders coming at high speed from Godda overturned at Sido-Kanhu Chowk of Lalmatia. In this accident, 40-year-old Prem Kumar Pawan, a para teacher, has died, while three other people including the truck driver have been seriously injured.

Para teacher Prem Kumar Pawan, a resident of Kolbadda village of Thakurgangti police station area, who was injured in the accident, was coming from Lalmatiya on a bike, when he was hit by a truck. He had suffered serious head injury.

Local people sent him to Mahagama Referral Hospital for treatment, where he died during treatment. At the same time, truck driver Vikas Kumar, 25, of Patna (Bihar), Aman Kisku, 20, of Dakaita village and Munna Ansari, 26, resident of Islampur, were seriously injured.

After the incident, social worker Dildar Ansari, police station in-charge Pradeep Kumar Das, police sub-inspector Jitendra Verma, present at Lalmatia Chowk, reached the spot with the team and rescued the driver Vikas Kumar who was trapped in the truck.

The injured driver and dacoit Aman Kisku of village has been referred to Godda Sadar Hospital for better treatment. The fourth injured in the incident, 26-year-old Munna Ansari, has been sent to Mission Hospital.

Regarding the incident, eyewitnesses said that on Sunday morning, a speeding truck carrying a gas cylinder from Godda got unbalanced and overturned at Sido-Kanhu Chowk of Lalmatia, due to which the truck driver got trapped inside the vehicle.
