A tragic traffic accident that occurred late in the afternoon of the 18th, occurred on Rua da Torre, close to the old bus station. The victim, identified as Marlian, was fatally run over by a truck after an alleged push by his ex-partner.

According to witnesses who witnessed the incident, Marlian and her ex-partner were arguing on Rua da Torre when she was pushed onto the road by her ex-partner. At the exact moment, a truck was traveling down the street and, without time to brake, it passed over the victim's head. Marlian died instantly from the impact.

The place, which is quite busy, quickly filled with onlookers and people shocked by the brutality of the accident. The Military Police were called and isolated the area to carry out the necessary procedures.

Marlian's ex-partner was immediately arrested and taken to the police station to give a statement.
