Uploaded On:Thursday 17th of October 2024

Not caring that he was just a few meters from a police station, an alleged hitman shot a citizen in the Tumbes region.

The perpetrator of the crime was captured by the police and identified as Yoshua Josué Chávez Morán, 25 years old, who allegedly attacked Julio Elías Zárate García, 46 years old.

The victim is hospitalized in the trauma shock area of the José Alfredo Mendoza Olavarría regional hospital (JAMO) where his prognosis is reserved, after receiving bullet impacts in the head.

According to witnesses, the alleged hitman waited for his victim near his home, just a few meters from the local police station. Upon seeing him arrive, he shot him and tried to run away; however, he was intercepted by the police with the help of neighbors.

At the time of writing, the alleged shooter remained in custody at the San José police station in Tumbes.

It is worth noting that the alleged hitman has a history of crimes against property and illicit drug trafficking in the form of micro-trade.
