Gaurghat waterfall: The deceased had reached Gaurghat waterfall on January 15 to have a picnic with friends, the teams of divers from Rahul, Surguja, Korea and Surajpur had to struggle

A young man named Rahul Singh had jumped from a height of 70 feet in the Gaurghat waterfall to make reels. He drowned in deep water. On Sunday, his body was recovered by the rescue team of 3 districts after a lot of trouble.

Half a dozen youths (Gaurghat waterfall), residents of village Dubchola in Khargwan block of MCB district, had reached the Gaurghat waterfall on the afternoon of January 15 to have a picnic. While making reels here, Rahul Singh, 25, jumped into the waterfall from a height of 70 feet at around 5 pm.

He had drowned while swimming in an unconscious state due to an injury sustained by jumping from a height. This was reported to Sonhat police by friends. Since then, the search has been going on.

Rahul (Gaurghat waterfall) could not be searched due to the evening of the incident day. On the second day, the DDRF team of Korea district searched for him, but the body could not be found.

On the third day, a team of SDRF Ambikapur and Korea Emergency and Fire Services carried out a search operation from morning till evening. His body could not be found even on the fourth day. On Sunday, the 5th day, his body was recovered from the water of the waterfall at around 12.30 pm.
