A disagreement ended in violence in the Santo Antônio neighborhood, in Irani, in the late afternoon of Tuesday (28). The confusion involved gunshots and machete blows, leaving two people seriously injured.
According to the Military Police, the fight began around 6:20 pm and involved several people. One of the injured, a young man shot in the head, was rescued by people and taken to the Irani Emergency Room. In serious condition, he had to be intubated and transferred to São Francisco Hospital in Concordia.
The second victim, a 46-year-old man, suffered deep cuts on his right arm and multiple abrasions through his body after being attacked with a machete. He was attended by the Volunteer Fire Department of Irani and sent to the Emergency Room.
The authorities continue to investigate the case to identify those responsible and clarify the causes of the conflict.
The commander of the Iranian Volunteer Fire Department, Sandro Alves Pereira, highlighted the speed of service and thanked the police for their support in the occurrence.
