On Sunday night (16), in the Sebastião Maltêz neighborhood, in Caraúbas, in the Midwest, a man was shot dead and his father shot during a fight on a skewer.

According to information from the Military Police (PM), the murdered victim, identified as Mateus Silva de Araújo, a native of Ceará-Mirim, was with his father on the Beanight skewer, at the time that an argument occurred with exchange of punches with another person, who pulled out a gun and fired shots that hit Mateus. The victim's father was shot in the arm.

The father, whose identity has not yet been disclosed, was referred to the Regional Hospital of Caraúbas. Man is not at risk of life.

The shooter fled the scene and has not yet been found. The PM was triggered, isolating the area until the arrival until the arrival of the ITEP, which removed the body of the dead to the headquarters of the agency in Mossoró.

The case will be investigated by the Civil Police of Caraúbas, which requested expertise to identify the perpetrator of the crime and elucidate the circumstances of the fact.
