A 25-year-old died this morning on Díaz Ordaz Boulevard after being run over by an urban route, in the Miravalle neighborhood, in Monterrey.
The accident apparently originated as a result of a fight between the victim and the driver of another urban route.
Jesús Lira, the deceased's father, said that both were driving aboard a GMC truck in the eastern lanes of Díaz Ordaz.
Before reaching the intersection with Río San Juan Street, a truck on Route 107 hit his vehicle on the right side, damaging the defense.
Moments later, a second crash occurred, which forced both units to stop.
At that moment, Alexis Lira, the now deceased, got out of the van with a shovel in his hand, apparently to talk to the truck driver.
According to the father's testimony, the driver of the route pushed Alexis and at that moment, another transport unit that was transiting through the place ran over him.
Elements of Civil Protection and paramedics of the Red Cross mobilized to the place, but unfortunately, the young man no longer showed vital signs.
Moments later, a video emerged on social networks that shows one of the trucks involved dragging a motorcycle in front of it.
According to witness versions, the victim's relatives wanted to hit the driver and even broke the windows of both units, also in an attempt to prevent the truck driver from escaping, they placed the motorcycle in front of the unit, however, the driver accelerated, overwhiling it.
The driver continued his march through Díaz Ordaz while continuing to drag the motorcycle.
Finally, he returned to the scene, where he was intercepted by the authorities.
Both drivers of the urban routes involved were arrested and made available to the corresponding authorities.
Expert agents worked on the spot to raise the necessary evidence and start investigations into this unfortunate incident.
