According to witnesses, two robbers on two motorcycles approached a woman who was walking along the sidewalk of Marginal Pinheiros, at the height of Oliveira Penteado Square, near the Eusébio Matoso Bridge, which connects Rebouças and Francisco Morato avenues, in the West Zone of São Paulo.

The driver of a green Chevrolet Montana truck, in which Jefferson was, was frightened by the action, lost control of the vehicle and hit one of the motorcycles.

In the sequence, Jefferson got out of the car and ended up shot by the bandit who was on the motorcycle hit by the truck. Witnesses say they heard three shots. There was an attempt to resuscitate the victim on the spot. The architect was taken to the USP University Hospital, nearby, but did not resist the injuries.

Jefferson worked with interior design, graduated from Anhembi Morumbi University and was responsible for projects from the Jevo Arquitetura and Baba Arquitetura offices. He had been married for two years.

According to the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP), the robbers also tried to approach the truck carrying Jefferson. "The crime occurred when two suspects tried to approach the victim's vehicle, a Chevrolet Montana. While trying to escape, he was shot. After the attack, the criminals abandoned the motorcycle, a blue Honda Titan, which was listed as stolen, and fled on foot," says the SSP note.

The Military Police of São Paulo took the robbed woman to register the Report of Occurrence at the State Department of Criminal Investigations (DEIC).

The driver Roberto Gonçalves passed by the place and witnessed the attempted robbery. He was taking employees of the company where he works to the Eldorado mall when he saw the action. According to him, one of the motorcyclists approached a group of people and managed to approach the woman.

- I think they asked for her cell phone password, because (the action) took a while - Gonçalves narrated.

Due to the fright of the passengers, Gonçalves continued with the trip and did not witness the shots that led to Aguiar's death.
