In a heartbreaking incident in Rivonia, Johannesburg, Emmanuel Mahamba, a Zimbabwean national originally from Mvuma, lost his life on Saturday during what has been described as a violent confrontation rooted in a romantic rivalry.

Witnesses report that the confrontation involved Mahamba and a Ugandan man, both of whom were romantically linked to the same woman.

Tensions escalated quickly, leading to a tragic exchange that ultimately cost Mahamba his life.

Eyewitnesses described a chaotic scene as the suspect, who was reportedly dressed in white, struck Mahamba twice with a Ford Ranger vehicle during the altercation.

The violence left bystanders in shock, as the gravity of the situation unfolded in front of them.

Emergency services were called to the scene promptly; however, despite their efforts to revive him, Emmanuel Mahamba was pronounced dead.
