A 20-year-old Detroit graduate from the Saginaw Arts and Sciences Academy, Alejandro Gonzales, was found mutilated on a beach in Mexico. Reports say police responded to Playa Chac Mool beach after Gonzales and a 28-year-old Mexican woman were swept out to sea while swimming on Sunday evening. The woman was caught in a riptide, and Gonzales attempted to rescue her. She was later found unconscious, but Gonzales was missing. After more than 72 hours of searching, Civil Protection lifeguards recovered his body over a kilometer from where he had disappeared. Preliminary reports indicate the body showed visible mutilations, with both arms and one leg missing, and signs of advanced decomposition, likely due to the marine environment. |
