A video circulating in mainland China shows a dramatic moment when a crane arm loses balance and overturns, narrowly missing a man who was distracted by his mobile phone.

Fortunately, the man, who was standing next to a row of large concrete levees, reacted just in time. As the crane arm tilted toward him, he bent down and positioned himself behind the levee, narrowly avoiding the impact and escaping unharmed.

The incident occurred around 9 a.m. on the 27th at a construction site in mainland China. CCTV footage, which quickly went viral online, shows the man in black standing near the concrete structures while engrossed in his phone. Suddenly, the crane arm, having lost its balance, tilted 90 degrees, falling directly toward him.

Hearing an unusual noise, the man looked up and saw the crane arm descending, prompting him to instinctively crouch down behind the concrete levee. The arm struck the levee, causing debris and dust to scatter across the site.

When the dust settled, the man in black was seen walking away from the scene unharmed. It was revealed that he had successfully hidden under the concrete pier just before the crane arm fell, thereby escaping the accident unscathed.
