In the landslide that occurred in the Canik district of Samsun, father Adem Kaya and his daughters Alya Kaya and Lina Kaya died when rocks and soil fell on them at the car wash next to the gas station. The extent of the landslide in Canik became apparent at daybreak.
The area where the landslide disaster in Samsun, in which three people died, was recorded by a drone camera in the morning hours after the accident.
The incident took place at 23.20 yesterday at a gas station next to a shopping mall in the Toptepe Neighborhood of the Canik district.
Soil and rock pieces that broke off from the mountain fell into the car wash section of the gas station. A car here was trapped under the rubble.
Upon notification, numerous search and rescue and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. As a result of the work carried out, mother Çiğdem Kaya was removed from the wreckage with injuries and taken to hospital. With the support of construction equipment, the vehicle under the rubble was first reached.
In the examination of the vehicle, it was determined that the father Adem Kaya (36) and his children Açelya (5) and Alya Kaya (7) lost their lives. The mother Çiğdem Kaya had fractures in her leg.
The lifeless bodies were removed from the vehicle and sent to the Samsun Forensic Medicine Group Presidency.
