A man was shot and killed on Saturday afternoon (May 3) in Marau, in the northern region of Rio Grande do Sul. The incident occurred around 3 p.m. on Rua Primeiro de Maio, in the city center.
The victim, identified as 32-year-old Tiago Bageston, was shot in front of a car wash. According to the Military Police, two men arrived at the scene on a black motorcycle with a red tank. The driver wore a blue helmet and dark clothing, while the passenger was dressed in a black jacket, shorts, and a green helmet, holding a second jacket on his lap.
The suspects asked for Tiago, and as he approached, the passenger fired several shots at him before the pair fled the scene.
Tiago was rescued alive by the Fire Department and transported to the hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries and died.
The motive behind the crime remains unclear, and the Civil Police will continue to investigate the case.
