Huancayo is shaken by a disturbing case of domestic violence involving Anderson Brandon Valdivia Rivera, 19, who allegedly attempted to commit femicide and parricide. A 17-year-old girl publicly accused her partner of deliberately running her over and trying to harm her one-year-old daughter in a public incident.

In an emotional interview with ATV Noticias, the victim, still bedridden and visibly shaken, recounted the terrifying moments. She explained that Valdivia Rivera first tried to attack her baby, who was in the arms of another young woman at the time. “He wanted to kill me because he went for my baby first. The girl had to hide. I warned him, ‘Get in, get in, because he’s going to step on you!’ When he heard that, he reversed the car and came at me head-on,” she said, her voice breaking.

The victim described the moment of impact: “When he hit me, both the girl and my baby screamed. I thought I had killed them. After the attack, he fled, but neighbors apprehended him and brought him back.”

The police have registered the case as attempted femicide and attempted parricide. The young mother is currently recovering from multiple physical injuries while grappling with the emotional trauma of the assault.

The victim’s mother revealed that her daughter endured ongoing physical and psychological abuse throughout her relationship with Valdivia Rivera. “He abused her since she was pregnant, pressured her to have an abortion, and demanded DNA tests. In their apartment, he humiliated and assaulted her. She only recently found the courage to speak out,” she said.

Further complicating the case, the attacker’s family allegedly tried to silence the victim with financial incentives. “They tried to buy her silence. We demand justice and that he be held in preventive detention. My daughter is alive by a miracle,” the mother asserted.
