The victim had to be transferred to the Cruces hospital after having cuts on his chest and back.

The 35-year-old man, arrested on Sunday for an alleged attempted murder in Ugao-Miraballes , has already been admitted to the Basauri penitentiary. The defendant had attacked a woman up to five times with a knife in the parking lot of the Ugaondo discotheque.

According to the Basque Department of Security, after being brought before the Bilbao Court on Duty, at four o'clock on Monday afternoon the judge ordered his imprisonment. The detainee has been transferred to the Basauri Penitentiary Centre.

At 5.30pm on Sunday, a call alerted the Ertzaintza of a knife attack suffered by a woman inside a vehicle parked next to a nightclub in the town of Ugao-Miraballes.

In fact, a video from one of the security cameras in the area is circulating on social media, in which the man can be seen next to the car in which the woman is sitting on the passenger side and it can be seen that there is some comment between them. The man then takes a knife out of his back pocket and begins to brutally stab the woman, who managed to get out of the vehicle and flee to the nightclub, pursued by this man who was detained by the nightclub's security personnel.

Several police units were called to the scene and were able to confirm that a man was being held by the club's security personnel after allegedly attacking a woman with a knife. The victim and the attacker did not know each other.

The victim was treated inside an ambulance for cuts to his chest and back and was later transferred to Cruces Hospital . The Ertzaintza police identified the suspect, who had cuts to his hand, and arrested him for alleged attempted murder.

After the attack, there is another video in which the alleged attacker appears. The man appears upset. One of the people who is holding him until the police arrives tells him: "This woman, if she doesn't get out, she won't get out (of prison) for 20 years." The alleged attacker responds by shouting: "I don't give a damn!"

The arrested man was taken to the police station to begin the relevant proceedings and, once completed, he was brought before the court, and his imprisonment was ordered this afternoon . The detainee has already been transferred to the Basauri penitentiary.
