On Saturday morning around 8 o’clock, a bull trampled an elderly woman to death in Patel Nagar of Kurukshetra city of Haryana. The deceased woman has been identified as 65-year-old Gurdeep Kaur, resident of Patel Nagar. Angry villagers blocked the Brahma Chowk of the city in the evening.
On the assurance of the police administration, the jam could be cleared after about 45 minutes. During this time, the villagers warned that if the problem is not resolved soon, they will take the stray animals to the CM residence and tie them there.
According to the incident, Gurdeep Kaur was standing in the street near her house. She came out with the help of a stick due to knee problems. Meanwhile, suddenly a black cow attacked the woman in the street. In the attack, the horn of the bull pierced through the woman’s neck. Due to this, she died on the spot.
Even after this, the bull continued to hit the woman with its horns. The people around tried to free the woman, but for some time no one gathered the courage to come near her. The family and the people around took the elderly woman to the hospital, where the doctor declared her dead.
This entire incident was also captured in the nearby CCTV camera. The news of the death of an elderly woman due to cow attack spread like fire in the city. After the incident, people were seen angry against the administration and the government.
The family members blocked the Brahma Chowk at around 5 pm regarding the matter. The SDM and DSP who reached the spot assured to solve the problem of stray animals soon, after which the jam could be cleared.
