He was riding a tricycle on Timoteo Trejo Street when he was the target of an armed attack

Celaya, Gto.- A man of approximately 50 years old was shot to death while traveling on his tricycle on Timoteo Trejo Street between Adolfo López Mateos Boulevard and Niños Héroes belonging to the San Miguel neighborhood.

It was approximately at 5:15 p.m. this Monday that residents of the San Miguel neighborhood noticed the loud bang causing panic among them, it was not until minutes later that neighbors came out and noticed an elderly man lying on Timoteo Trejo Street, next to a tricycle with work material and a pool of blood in the place, in this way they alerted the 9-1-1 Emergency System number.

Elements of the National Guard in the company of paramedics from the Mexican Red Cross , who upon arrival cordoned off the perimeter blocking access on Adolfo López Mateos Boulevard and Timoteo Trejo corner with Niños Héroes, while the paramedics tried to assist the victim, who they ended up confirming had lost his life, generating the first report and notifying the prosecutor's office.

Minutes later, relatives of the victim arrived at the scene , who through heartbreaking cries begged that it was not true, in the same way two women tried to cross the cordon to hug their relative, being prevented by the elements of the National Guard , who informed them that it would not be possible due to the indications and the seriousness of the matter , thus leaving the relatives in an established perimeter while they were interviewed and data was collected from the victim to speed up the process.

The vehicular flow in the area was affected for more than 3 hours while the elements of the Criminal Investigation Agency (AIC) and experts investigated the area in search of clues, being that under a white vehicle they found 2 and next to the body another two, revealing that at least 4 shots were received by the victim, all this information was collected to attach to thecarpeta de investigación y darle seguimiento a la investigación.
