At noon on Friday, January 10, 2025, a municipal worker died after receiving an electric shock.

In addition, four other people were affected by the event recorded in the park of the parish of Aníbal San Andrés in the Montecristi canton.

Those affected were helped by inhabitants of the sector and transferred by ambulances to different health centers in Montecristi and Manta.

The state of health of the injured was delicate, so hours later it was learned that one of those affected ceased to exist.

This is Luis Román Bacusoy Delgado, approximately 34 years old.

It was learned that the other injured are Josué A. (29), Yandry G. (23), Yandry M. (22) and Ramón S. (50)

According to preliminary information, the men were inside the park carrying out work related to video surveillance cameras.

The now deceased was located on Cesáreo Reyes Street in the same parish where the events took place.

His co-workers arrived at the health house where the death of the municipal worker was finally confirmed and were dismayed by what happened.

A video is circulating through social networks that shows the men lying on the floor while they are rescued by the neighbors.
