Sitting in a cafe in Beşiktaş, 44-year-old Cengiz Şire was attacked with a gun in front of his wife by a hooded man who approached him from behind. Şire, who was taken to hospital with serious injuries, lost his life.

After the attack, Cengiz Ş. was seriously injured after being shot in the back of the neck while the suspect was running away. Upon notification, a medical and police team was dispatched to the scene. After first aid, the medical teams took the seriously injured Cengiz Ş. to the hospital.

Cengiz Şire, who was taken into surgery, lost his life despite all the interventions.

Following the incident, the Homicide Bureau teams of the Public Security Department began working to catch the suspect. Police, who examined security camera footage, determined that the suspect changed vehicles several times after the incident and came to Kağıthane. In ongoing work, it was determined that the suspect was Kadir N., who had no criminal record.

The suspect, who was trying to go abroad from Edirne, was caught by police teams before he could escape. Kadir N., who was detained, was taken to the Public Security Branch Directorate. It was learned that the suspect's procedures are continuing at the police station.
